Interieur 08 Design Competition

The Interieur Foundation organises its nineteenth consecutive prototype competition: the INTERIEUR 08 Design Competition, formerly known as 'Design for Europe'. Centred on three thematic subjects, it focuses on new, functional, creative and contemporary prototypes.

An international jury will include, amongst others, designers Louise Campbell (DK) and Adam Goodrum (AU), Philips Senior Creative Director Oscar Peña (CO/NL) and captains of industry and CEOs Marnick Smessaert (BE) and Alasdhair Willis (UK). They will examine the entries and decide on the deserving winners. Eleven prominent companies are sponsoring prizes to a total value of 35,000 euro.

Apart from the honours, the prize money and the nominations, the international competition is also the ideal platform for budding designers to be discovered. All entries will be on display during the 21st Interieur Biennale, where they will be seen by potential manufacturers, professional visitors and the general public.

Previous editions featured more than 150 young designers. This year's competition again promises to feature highly creative designers aiming to conquer the markets. Twenty six international magazines from Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Russia, Turkey, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States are supporting the competition. Now is the time to register!
